The Misunderstood Civilization

BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOW:

The musical comedy "The Misunderstood Civilization" at the National Musical Theatre. The director of the show is Nikolay Gunderov, known to the audience for his authentic style in the comedy genre. He is also the screenwriter of the new text based on the play by Dobri Voynikov.

The music is by composer Decho Taralezhkov, and just as he incorporates contemporary hits from the 70s, the upcoming premiere will also weave in musical quotes from iconic songs. The conductor-director of the musical comedy is Yuli Damyanov.

In the storyline, Anka faces the enormous challenge of auditioning for a European music competition. The Hadzhikostovi family can afford the best for their daughter, but with one caveat to the audience – everything is according to their taste. The set design of the show is entrusted to Nikolay Nikolov and promises bold solutions. In the home of Hadzhi Kosta and Zlata, the enormous scale of a progressing business is evident. As proof of this grand scale, there will be a swimming pool on the stage of the Musical Theatre.

The impressive appearance of each character, besides their magnificent acting, will also feature a large number of extravagant costumes, created by the young costume designer Ilina Grozeva. The choreographer of the show is Tatyana Yaneva, whose style is beloved and familiar to the audience of the Musical Theatre. The project coordinator is Penyo Pirozov.
