PNF - Basic Level (Part A and B)

The Association of Physiotherapists in Bulgaria organizes a basic course on PNF (in two parts - A and B).

Each part consists of 5 days:

• Part A - October 9-13, 2026.

• Part B - April 9-13, 2027.

Price for regular members: 919 leva / 470 euros.

Price for non-member specialists: 977 leva / 500 euros.

Students from the 3rd and 4th year are allowed.

Course content:

• Introduction to the PNF concept -

philosophy, basic principles and
procedures, PNF techniques, PNF models,
mat activities, gait analysis and training for gait problems. Clinical discussions and
analytical, clinical reasoning.

• A major focus is placed on motor learning from the perspective of ICF (International Classification of Functioning).
• Discussion of the interconnections and the relationship of PNF in the process of clinical reasoning and evidence-based therapy.
• Clinical reasoning and approach to solving specific problems;
• Solutions with therapeutic approaches for some common pathologies;
• Treatment based on the ICF model;
• Approach based on the performance of daily activities.

The course includes patient demonstrations, using PNF approaches, aimed at providing a foundation for participants' understanding of treatment planning with PNF.

During PNF - part 2, participants have the opportunity to work directly with patients, under the supervision of leading instructors (one hour over 4 days in the course).

Participation in the course can be taken by graduates and students studying in the specialties of "Kinesiotherapist" and "Rehabilitator".

Clothing: Please wear appropriate sports clothing and shoes.

Course rules:
Participants cannot miss more than 4 hours of the course. If participants miss more than 4 hours, they cannot receive a certificate of completion.

Membership conditions in AFB

• Completed membership application and declaration (available on the AFB website. Link - below in the announcement)
• Copy of diploma for completed education
• For students - student book with verification for the current semester.
• Employment certificate or copy of employment contract (not mandatory)
• Photo
• The membership fee is 60 leva per year (60 euros for those working abroad), and can also be transferred by bank (in the payment reference write membership fee for the respective year/s and registration number).
