Grebenarya and Grebenarova Chuka Peak in the Rhodopes

🌅 A one-day route to the impressive Grebenarya ridge and Grebenarova Chuka Peak in the Rhodopes. We will explore one of the wild areas of the mountain and learn more about its fauna and flora.
Rocky cliffs, wild forests, and inaccessible valleys surround this area.
The endless sea of ridges and valleys in all directions is home to wild animals.
The hike is attractive but challenging, suitable for people with experience in walking on rocks, rugged terrain, and off-trail, who are in very good physical shape.

🚐 Program:
Transfer Sofia - village of Belitsa - 3 hours.
The hike to the Grebenarya ridge begins through the forest. Gradually, we gain altitude and will reach a group of rocks. The terrain is rugged, and we follow old paths. For lunch, we will stop at the hunting lodge "Akva Tepe," located among green meadows. In the afternoon, we continue to Grebenarova Chuka Peak - 1573 m, where we will again have 360-degree panoramas. The descent to the transport is along paths and a dirt road.

Total hike for the day: 8:00-8:30 hours, +1150/-1150m, distance 16 km

💪 Difficulty level:
Program with medium technical difficulty. Very good physical condition is required, along with prior participation in hikes lasting 8-9 hours and experience in walking on rugged terrain off-trail.
