Founders Unfiltered: Meet Grace Brown

Founders Unfiltered: Grace Brown, Co-Founder & CEO of Andromeda
Founders Unfiltered is Stone & Chalk's flagship fireside chat series — a long-form, live conversation for founders, by founders. Each month, one founder pulls back the curtain on the decisions, trade-offs, failures, and what they'd do differently, so the founders in the room can go further, faster.
This month, we sit down with Grace Brown, Co-Founder & CEO of Andromeda, the Melbourne-based deep-tech company behind Abi, an emotionally intelligent humanoid companion robot for aged care. Grace started building robots at 15 and built Abi's first prototype during COVID as a personal project. She co-founded Andromeda with Yan Chen in 2022, aged just 22, and has since raised a $23 million Series A valuing the company at $100 million, primarily backed by female investors. She's also a Forbes 30 Under 30 alumna.
No polished narrative. No pitch. Just an honest, founder-to-founder conversation about how decisions were really made, what worked, what didn't, and what she'd change.
