In a world where reality is measured in likes and followers, where true emotions are replaced with filters and hashtags, "FAKE" is born on stage.
"FAKE" is a play about people who live in the online space and feed off the attention of others. For all of us who are convinced that our lives only have meaning when they are "seen", "liked", and "shared".
But what lies beneath the gloss of perfect profiles?
What if perfection and image are just a filter?
"FAKE" is a painfully relevant performance about the reality we live in. With a smile and without judgment, we will peek behind the social image and give you another perspective.
"FAKE" reminds us that we need to become more self-critical before we hate and to be more critical of what we watch. Let’s turn our gaze inward and sometimes just remain in silence. Otherwise, life goes on, and the way we live now will seem ridiculous in time, because everything will be different. We accept. We move forward. We must know that not everything that flies is edible and that not everything we see is real and honest!
