Drawing Glagolitic Script with Henna

✨ What if an ancient letter chose you?

For centuries, people have drawn symbols on their bodies with henna.

Not simply as decoration.

But as a powerful and meaningful sign.

🌿 In various traditions, henna is regarded as a powerful plant with protective and healing symbolism – it is believed that, when applied to the skin, it soothes the body, while the symbols drawn with it carry the energy and intention with which they were created.

Now imagine having something you want to carry with you written on your skin.

A letter. A symbol. Or an entire word.

A word that, at this moment, brings you strength, peace, love, direction, healing, or support.

At this gathering, Zoya Kalcheva (a contemporary Bulgarian calligrapher and specialist in Glagolitic script) will draw Glagolitic letters, symbols, and words with henna on the guests’ hands.

You can come with an idea.

You can choose on the spot.

Or perhaps the symbol will choose you.

You will learn its meaning, hear the story behind it, and leave with an ancient message on your skin that you will carry with you over the following days. ✨
