Uncompromising rock and roll with DANKO JONES and Split Dogs on October 17 in Sofia

One of the most energetic and consistent rock formations of the last decades, Danko Jones, is coming to Bulgaria at the invitation of Fest Team. The Canadian power trio will take the stage at Pirotska 5 Event Center, Sofia on October 17, 2026, with tireless and relentless rock and roll energy.

Tickets go on sale on February 25 (Wednesday) at 12:00 through the Ticketstation network, starting at 44 euros.

Founded in Toronto in 1996, Danko Jones has been one of the most consistent and uncompromising defenders of hard rock for nearly 30 years. From early cult albums like We Sweat Blood and Sleep Is The Enemy to the strong series A Rock Supreme (2019), Power Trio (2021), and Electric Sounds (2023), Danko Jones proves that the formula "guitar, bass, drums, and attitude" still works – and it works more than excellently.

Over the years, the band has established itself on the global rock scene with a series of gold and platinum accolades in Sweden, a steady presence in the charts of countries like Germany, Finland, France, Canada, and Switzerland, and over 100 million streams on Spotify. Their music goes far beyond the club scene – tracks by the band can be heard in HBO productions, in cult series like True Blood and CSI:NY, in EA Sports games, as well as in campaigns for brands like Ford and Budweiser. "Gonna Be A Fight Tonight" even becomes the official theme of WWE Royal Rumble, proving that the sound of Danko Jones is made for big arenas and even bigger emotions.

In 2025, the band adds a new strong chapter to their discography with their 12th studio album Leo Rising – 11 tracks of exceptional hard rock. Songs like What You Need, Diamond In The Rough (featuring guitar legend Marty Friedman), Every Day Is Saturday Night, and I Love It Louder show that the music of Danko Jones can be direct, energetic, and created for singing with a raised fist. The album, produced by their long-time collaborator Eric Ratz, is perhaps the most positive and inspiring record of the band to date, without losing a gram of its characteristic aggression.

As special guests on stage in Sofia, we will also see Split Dogs – the British band from Bristol known for their raw, direct, and energetic sound, combining classic rock and roll with a vibrant punk atmosphere. Live, Split Dogs are known for their sharp, energizing energy and passionate performances, making them ideal partners on stage just before Danko Jones for an unforgettable evening filled with powerful riffs, adrenaline, and true rock and roll spirit.

The concert in Sofia on October 17, 2026, will be part of their world tour and promises an evening full of jumping, headbanging, and true rock pleasure.
