B. T. O'Brien: Lochard

We are delighted to host the launch of B. T. O'Brien's novel, Lochard.

The LochArd is the first luxury liner to offer conscious space travel between Earth and Mars. Just hours from landing, the ship's maiden voyage ends in disaster.

For eighteen-year-old Ave Pearce, the journey is more than a trip across the solar system. After years spent running from the family who adopted her, she's finally on her way home. When the LochArd is destroyed, Ave survives the wreck.

Stranded on the Martian frontier with no way to call for help, Ave discovers fellow survivor Mot Carr-Michael. With oxygen running out and rescue beyond reach, saving Mot may be the only thing that keeps her going.

Inspired by the extraordinary story of the 1878 Loch Ard shipwreck, Lochard is a science fiction adventure about survival, courage, family and discovering that home is sometimes waiting where you least expect it.

Free, but bookings are essential.
