Community Guidelines

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Language note: These Community Guidelines were prepared in Bulgarian. The Bulgarian text is binding. Translations (including this English version) are provided for convenience only, and in case of any discrepancy the Bulgarian text prevails.

1. Introduction

Huddle is a community for discovering events and meeting new people. Everyone deserves a safe, respectful and friendly experience — whether they are browsing events, creating a profile, talking to other users or meeting them in person.

These Community Guidelines set out what is expected of you and what we will not allow on the platform. They are part of the Terms of Use. By using Huddle, you agree to follow them.

2. What is not allowed

The following kinds of content and behaviour are strictly prohibited everywhere on Huddle — in profiles, photos, direct and group messages, events, beacons, spaces, hubs, albums and reviews:

  • sexual content or nudity;
  • any sexual content involving minors — there is zero tolerance for this, and we may report such cases to the competent authorities;
  • harassment, threats, intimidation or persistent stalking of other users;
  • hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality;
  • graphic violence or scenes of cruelty;
  • illegal activities, including the sale of illegal goods;
  • spam, scams or impersonation of another person or organisation;
  • sharing other people's personal information without their consent.

3. How we keep Huddle safe

  • Photos: every uploaded photo is checked automatically before it is shown. A photo that breaks these rules is not published.
  • Events: events are checked automatically before they become public. Doubtful ones are held for human review.
  • Profiles and spaces: texts are checked automatically when saved.
  • Messages: checked automatically after they are sent. Messages that likely break the rules go to a moderator for review.
  • Reports: all reports go to Huddle's moderators, who can remove the content; reports about messages in a space also reach that space's moderators. We act on reports of objectionable content and abusive behaviour within 24 hours. Content reported by several different users is shown to everyone behind a "sensitive content" warning.
  • Content that breaks these rules is removed.

This combination of automated and human moderation helps us respond quickly and keep the community safe for everyone.

4. Reporting and blocking

You are an important part of keeping the community safe. If you see content or behaviour that breaks these rules, you can act right away.

Reporting. You can report the following through the "⋯" menu or by long-pressing the content:

  • profiles;
  • direct messages and messages in group chats (spaces, hubs, events, beacons);
  • questions in hubs;
  • beacons;
  • events;
  • album photos and notes;
  • venue reviews;
  • hubs.

Reporting content hides it from you immediately. The user who is reported does not learn who reported them.

Blocking. You can block any user from their profile, from a direct chat, from a hub chat or from their beacon. Blocking is two-way and silent:

  • you both stop seeing each other — profiles, beacons and direct messages, including earlier ones;
  • any connection between you is ended;
  • in shared chats, the blocked user's messages are shown as a hidden "blocked message";
  • the blocked user is not notified.

You can report and block as many users as you need to feel safe.

5. Meeting in person

Huddle helps people meet in person — at events and through beacons. We do not verify users' identities. For your safety:

  • meet in public places;
  • tell someone close to you where you are going;
  • share your exact location only with people you trust;
  • if someone makes you uncomfortable, leave, block them and report them.

In immediate danger, call 112.

6. Consequences of violations

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or for users who abuse other people.

  • Content that breaks these rules is removed.
  • Repeated or serious violations lead to termination of the account.
  • For violations that pose a safety risk or break the law, we may notify the competent authorities.

If you think we made a mistake, you can appeal: for a rejected event — in the app; for other decisions — at [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed by a person.

7. Contact

If you have questions about these Community Guidelines, want to report a violation or appeal one of our decisions:
